Born in Tbilisi into a creative family, Teo Jorbenadze grew up surrounded by music. Her father, composer Tamaz Jorbenadze, was one of Georgia’s celebrated musicians, and the world of sound and performance became the natural starting point of her artistic path. What began with music gradually evolved into a broader language of storytelling, where cinema, theatre and live performance meet. She later earned a Master’s degree in Audio-Visual Arts from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University.

Her professional journey began in journalism and cultural media, working as an author and cultural editor for The Week’s Post newspaper and the Second Channel of Georgian Public Broadcasting. She later headed the Literature and PR departments of the State Central Children’s Theatre, where theatre and storytelling became an essential part of her creative language.

For many years she collaborated with the German cultural organization Melchiorsgrund, participating in international theatre productions including The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Cabaret, Gute Zeit and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, staged across Germany, Poland and Bosnia. During the same period she wrote more than forty television films for Georgian Public Broadcasting’s documentary series Tell Me About You.

Since 2004 she has served as Artistic Director of the Iavnana Charity Foundation founded by the renowned bass Paata Burchuladze. Under her creative direction, more than one hundred televised charity marathons and gala concerts have been written and produced in Georgia and internationally, at major venues such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Megaron Concert Hall and Paris Salle Pleyel, featuring legendary artists including Montserrat Caballé, Plácido Domingo, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Dolora Zajick, Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Renato Bruson.

In 2014 she founded the interdisciplinary platform Artists Union ConceptArt, dedicated to multimedia productions combining music, cinema and performance. Its first large-scale project, Memory Card, World Cinema’s Soundtracks, created together with conductor and composer Nikoloz Rachveli and the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, became one of the most successful productions in Georgia.

In 2017, she received the Gold Wave Award for “Best Producer” from Media Holding Fortuna.

In 2023, she was a member of the jury for Forbes Under 30 in the Culture and Style category.

Her documentary Angels of Sorrow (2016–2018), dedicated to composer Giya Kancheli, was screened at Batumi International Art-House Film Festival and the Tbilisi International Film Festival and later selected for the Amsterdam Lift-Off Film Festival.

Among her recent works is the multimedia performance City Lights - Follow Your Dreams, created in collaboration with internationally acclaimed violinist Lisa Batiashvili and Nikoloz Rachveli, which premiered in Berlin at the Potsdam Theater in 2023.

Her latest film, On Another Stage, was presented at the European Film Market of the Berlin International Film Festival in 2026 and later screened at Wolf Kino with the support of the Georgian Film Institute.
